Advisory – Below Normal Rainfall:

Below Normal rainfall persists across the Kiribati islands and this condition is expected to continue in the coming months. Hence the public is advised to take this message seriously in their daily usage of fresh water and to manage and use their public rainwater tanks wisely. The public is also encouraged to provide their full support, assistance and oversight to any rainwater harvesting projects in their respective villages to allow for maximum use of rainfall from time to time.

Gusty Winds – Advisory #14:

Gusty wind advisory remains in force all over the Gilbert Group and Banaba. The public is advised to take precautionary measures to minimize possible impacts.

Spring Tide – Advisory #3:

Tide predictions for 24th & 25th for this month, July 2017 indicate sea level of 2.80 meters and above. These heights could produce inundation to low lying coastal areas and could be worse if accompanied with strong winds or swells. The public is advised to take preparatory measures to eliminate possible threats.
