Gusty wind Advisory #01:

A gusty wind advisory is now in force for the Kiribati group, especially over Makin and Butaritari. The public is advised to take precautions to minimize possible impacts.

Spring Tide Advisory #07:

Tide predictions for the 08th for the month of May 2024 indicate seal level of 2.80 metres and above. Residents living along the coasts are advised to take preparatory measures to minimize possible impacts.

The weather forecast for the Kiribati group and Banaba was issued at 0700pm Saturday 04^th May 2024 and valid until 6am. 

Situation: The Intertropical convergence zone lies from over the northern islands and extends to over the Northern Islands in the Kiribati group. associated clouds will affect the Central group.

Kiribati group:

Light to moderate northeasterly to southeasterly winds of 01-15kts and fresh at times over Makin and Butaritari in the Northern group.

Slight to moderate seas.

For Makin and Butaritari:

Tonight: Cloudy with occasional showers with few isolated thunderstorms early tomorrow morning.

Tomorrow: Mostly cloudy with moderate showers.

For Marakei, Abaiang, Tarawa and Maiana:

Tonight: Partly cloudy with light showers becoming cloudy with occasional showers later.

Tomorrow: Partly cloudy with brief to light showers.

For Kuria, Aranuka and Abemama:

Tonight: Partly cloudy with light showers.

Tomorrow: Partly cloudy with isolated brief showers.

For Nonouti, Tabiteuea, Beru and Nikunau:

Tonight: Mostly fine.

Tomorrow: Mostly sunny.

For Onotoa, Tamana & Arorae:
