Cloud bands associated with troughs of low pressure located north of the Kiribati Group and south of Banaba continue to affect the Kiribati Group and Banaba.

 

Advisory Warning

Rainfall Advisory level #01:

A moderate rainfall is still expected over the Kiribati group and Banaba. The public is advised to take necessary precautions to minimize potential risks.

Coastal Inundation Advisory #05:

Coastal inundation is expected to affect low-lying coastal areas across the Kiribati group due the effect of strong westerly winds and higher-than-normal spring tide associated with El Nino. The public is advised to take precautionary measures to prevent possible impacts.

Strong Wind Warning #08:

A strong wind warning is now in force for the Kiribati Group and Banaba, particularly in areas affected by convective clouds. The public is advised to take the necessary precautionary measures to minimize the risk of injury and property damage.
