The weather forecast for the Northern Line islands and Phoenix group was issued at 0230pm Tuesday 22^nd April 2025 and valid until 6am.

Situation: The Intertropical convergence zone remains slow-moving over the Northern Line Islands. Meanwhile a trough of low pressure lies south of the Phoenix group and extends to the south of the Kiribati group.

Northern Line Islands:

Light to moderate northeasterly to easterly winds of 02-16kt. Fresh at times especially over Washington and Fanning.

Moderate seas.

Washington:

Tonight: Partly cloudy with light showers, becoming moderate later in the evening.

Tomorrow: Partly cloudy with light showers.

Fanning:

Tonight: Cloudy with light to moderate showers and few thunderstorms.
